ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WLOS) — Anderson County authorities say a tip about a large drug transaction led to more than a pound of meth being confiscated and multiple arrests.
On March 6, 2019 the Special Investigations Division of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office received a tip that a large quantity of methamphetamine was being delivered to an address in Anderson.
The deputies and detectives assigned to SID were able to respond to the location and subsequently conducted a traffic stop on vehicle leaving the address.
During this traffic stop, an amount of methamphetamine was located and the driver, Randall Streeb, was arrested.
Gale Murphy, the owner of the home, was a passenger in the vehicle Streeb was driving.
While on the first traffic stop, another vehicle left the residence under investigation. SID personnel were able to conduct another traffic stop on that vehicle being driven by Adam Frisch.
During this stop, approximately 472 grams of methamphetamine and two shotguns were located.
Based on the two traffic stops and the totality of the circumstances surrounding the investigation, SID personnel obtained a search warrant for the residence.
While securing the property for the search warrant execution, Stacy Capps was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Upon securing the residence, evidence was discovered that led to Murphy being arrested.
While Murphy was being processed at the Detention Center, Detention personnel located approximately 51 grams of methamphetamine concealed on her person.
The approximate total weight of this operation yielded 525 grams (1.15 pounds) of methamphetamine.
Streeb was charged with possession of methamphetamine, Capps was charged with possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, Murphy was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, and Frisch was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
