News 13 exclusive: Warren Haynes talks about death of friend Gregg Allman
Gregg Allman's funeral is scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Georgia. Authorities there said the services will be held at Snow's Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m.
Allman died last Saturday. He was 69-years-old.
Friday, in an exclusive interview with News 13, Warren Haynes spoke about his friend and former bandmate.
"It would have been great if he held out, but a lot of us knew it was going to happen. Still, when I got the word that he passed, it was heartbreaking, and it's going to take me a long time to get over it," Haynes said.
Allman's manager confirmed he will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon beside his brother, Duane, and bandmate, Berry Oakley.
