Pair faces felony charges after search nets 20 pounds of marijuana
MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. -- Two people face felony charges after authorities found 20 pounds of marijuana during a search.
Ashley Renee Carroll, 22, and Marlone LaQuinn Carson, 39, are both charged with one felony count of trafficking in marijuana.
Probation officers with the N.C. Department of Public Safety and Marion police searched Carroll's house on Monday and found 20 pounds of marijuana.
Additionally, Carroll is charged with possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance. Carson is also charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of marijuana.
Carroll is currently on probation and is subject to warrantless searches.
They both turned themselves in on Tuesday.
