ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Part of Patton Avenue was hazardous for the morning commute Friday, after an overnight wreck involving a fire hydrant.
Officials say a car hit it around midnight, sending water pouring down the road near the Cookout, which froze in low temperatures.
Crews put down salt and sand as a precaution. No one was hurt.
That segment of Patton is now back open.
