Get ready for the rain tomorrow. Clouds will remain thick through Friday as abundant moisture continues to stream into the Southeast. Rain will become more likely and widespread before ending Friday evening.

After that, get ready to bundle up. Behind the rain will come the coldest air of the season, with highs Saturday not getting out of the 40s for most mountain valleys and not out of the 30s for higher elevations.

Along with the cold, expect strong, gusty winds, so prepare to layer up if venturing outside this weekend. But at least it will be sunny and dry.

Rain and wind return to the forecast Monday. The rain could turn over to a wintry mix Tuesday.
