Officer-involved shooting in Hendersonville

Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting about 11 p.m. Thursday at the Walmart Supercenter in Hendersonville.

Hendersonville Police Chief Herbert Blake said an officer shot one suspect, who was transported to the hospital. The suspect's condition was unknown. He said the officer was not injured.

State investigators were called in to assist.

Hendersonville Captain Chris LeRoy said at least one officer is currently on paid leave. He also said it is still to be determined whether the other officers on scene at the time, will also be put on leave.

More information is expected to be released Friday morning.
