River Arts District restaurant gets new owners, name
A big change is on the way to a popular restaurant in Ashevile's River Arts Distrct.
The Junction, which served its last meals Sunday, is becoming Vivian Restaurant.
New owners Shannon and Josiah McGuaghey run the Salt and Smoke food truck. They said they have been waiting and hoping for this kind of opportunity.
"We started with Salt and Smoke. It's always been a dream of ours to have a proper brick and mortar, and we came across this space, the Junction, about three or four months ago and we've been working to close that deal ever since," Josiah McGuaghey said.
Vivian is named after his grandmother, Vivian, who played a big role in his upbringing.
