WALHALLA, S.C. (WLOS) -- The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says a Walhalla, S.C., man has been charged with attempted murder after shooting a man in the neck.
Deputies responded to the shooting reported at 1888 Westminster Highway in Walhalla around 10:30 pm. on Tuesday. When they got to the scene they found the victim, identified as Edward Levi Williams, with a single gunshot wound to the neck.
Investigators believe the victim was shot during an argument with the suspect's daughter. The suspect was identified as 49-year-old Randy Lewis Mcjunkins.
Williams was air lifted for medical attention. His condition is not known at this time.
Mcjunkins has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The investigation is ongoing. No additional information has been released.
