Two students are collecting donations for the Bryson family.

A member of the Skyland Fire and Rescue Department found the body of Thomas Bryson in a corn field in Arden on Sunday night. A cause of death hasn't been determined.

Bryson went missing Wednesday during the search for Phillip Stroupe II, who had been on the run from authorities since July 22. Stroupe was captured July 27.

The West Henderson High students said they know the family well and will be giving 100 percent of what's donated to the family. Click here to donate.

"I'm cyring from the support because the kids care so much," student Taylor Gladin said.

People in the community are also organizing a vigil in honor of Bryson.

It is set for 8:45-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2. People are asked to come out and line the highway from the beginning of South Mills River Road to Glenn Bridge Road. Everyone is asked to bring a candle or light and let our lights shine for 15 minutes for Bryson and his family.
