Madison County authorities have captured a man wanted in a double murder case in east Tennessee.

Clyde Banner will be extradited to Unicoi County on two charges of first-degree murder.

Authorities say Banner was dating the mother of the two victims. They said he called her sister Wednesday morning and told her that he shot the two women. Their bodies were found in a house in Unicoi County.

Banner was tracked to Madison County when he used his credit card, the sheriff's office said.

Authorities said a man spotted Banner and contacted 911. They were then able to take him into custody without incident early Wednesday afternoon.

"I can't thank the local law enforcement agencies, surrounding counties, Sheriff Harwood and his department," Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley said. "The 911 dispatch in both counties ... have done an extraordinary job. We were able to get this subject in custody within a little over an hour and a half."

Banner remains in custody in Madison County and is expected to be extradited to Tennessee.
