This weekend in Franklin, it's all about the barbecue
Stormy weather Friday afternoon may have dampened the spirits of some folks at the Mountain High BBQ Festival, but the show went on for those who braved the rain.
Vendors prepped food to sell, and teams will, of course, compete for the title of barbecue champion.
Those competitors came from as far as several states away and as close as our own backyard in Macon County.
"The weather won't stop us," said Cindy Cavender, of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce. "We typically have a Friday night shower in August. And come tomorrow, we're hoping for great weather."
And don't worry if the rain kept you away Friday or you just couldn't make it out, the event continues at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Macon County Fairgrounds.
