An act of vandalism caused a headache for drivers in south Asheville. Yesterday a rep for Duke Energy says someone spray painted and cut through part of an oak tree near Mills Gap and Sweeten Creek Road. There were concerns of the tree falling on the road, so it was decided that the tree be removed. The Asheville Police Department is investigating.
