No surprise, the heavy snow has caused power outages across the region, created a traffic nightmare and cancelled or delayed flights from across the state.

At the Asheville Regional Airport, crews have been working non-stop to keep the runway operational. However, as of 10:30 a.m. Sunday, all arrivals were either cancelled or delayed until 3:30 p.m. and all departures were canceled or delayed until 3:55 p.m.

Airport spokeswoman Tina Kinsey recommends you check directly with your airline for the most up to date flight status information. The airlines will update their own systems first.

Last week, Kinsey told News 13, snow crews will be working around the clock clearing snow from the runways, but she said the airport will not close.

In Charlotte, it's pretty much the same story, nearly every flight is either cancelled or delayed. If you'd like to check out their latest departure information, click here. And if you'd like to check their latest arrival information, click here.

Finally, if you're thinking you'll get lucky at GSP out of Greenville, you're in for a rude awakening. Again, nearly every flight is either cancelled or delayed for Sunday. You can check out their latest flight status information, here.
