Volunteers organize second annual dance for seniors and adults with special needs

Valentine's Day isn't until Tuesday, but some people in Henderson County are already feeling the love.

Special Needs Sports teamed up with West Henderson High School to host the Special Hearts Dance.

Senior citizens and people with special needs got to enjoy treats--and one another's company out on the dance floor.

"Just watching them have fun, that's all it's about," said Donny Jones of Special Needs Sports.

""They were so touched by the special things that our kids do for them cut," said Denise Cope of the Junior Civitan Club. But, "more than anything, they loved the dancing."

Last year's large turnout led to this year's Valentines event, one made possible thanks to lots of people, including dozens of student volunteers.
