Bundle up, baby, it's COLD outside. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, Swain & Yancey Counties through noon Wednesday for light snow accumulations of 1 to 2" above 3,500 feet.
Watch out for some icy/slick road conditions north of Asheville through mid-morning!
Today will be gusty and cold with flurries possible early.
Highs Wednesday won't get out of the 30s for much of Western North Carolina, so stay bundled up!
Thursday will bring more sunshine and somewhat milder weather. Friday will likely be the warmest day of the next seven as highs touch the upper 40s.
**This weekend a significant winter storm is still expected**
Most of the wintry weather will start by sunset Saturday, lasting through early Monday, possibly even longer.
Significant snow and sleet accumulations are expected for many, so plan for major impacts on roads!
