Mega Millions jackpot could surge to half a billion by Tuesday
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —
The Mega Millions estimated jackpot now stands at $493 million for Tuesday's drawing.
There were no winners in Friday night's drawing, which according to ABC News, makes Tuesday's total the fifth-largest in the history of the Mega Millions lottery.
If excitement rises high enough, the jackpot total could rise to half a billion dollars.
If there's a single winner, and they choose a cash payout up front, they'll take home a cool $296 million.
ABC News says the jackpot has rolled over 22 times since the previous Mega Millions winner, back on May 4, 2018.
