Musicians teach Avery's Creek students about Guatemala
Some very special guests are sharing their love for their country, its culture and its music.
A group of musicians from Guatemala visited Avery's Creek Elementary School.
Musicians worked with third grade students for one week, practicing patterns and rhythms.
They also talked with them about their love of music and the different instruments they use that are similar to the instruments here in the United States.
The kindergartners sang a favorite song in English and Spanish. They also get a chance to play the drums and the xylophone.
The visiting artists are part of the LEAF in Schools and Streets program.
