Never Stop Learning: Read to Succeed

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- In its fifth year, literacy program Read to Succeed in Asheville is having a huge impact on the students it serves.

Volunteer coach Stephen Downey works with student Jayden twice a week for 45 minutes.

Trained volunteers work with 74 students in the Asheville elementary schools. The coaches work with the same student from kindergarten to third grade.

The kids say they learn strategies that work.

Volunteer coaches and reading buddies are always needed. If you are interested in helping out, click here
