Students get fun-filled lesson at Asheville Art Museum
Instructors said a creative holiday art camp for kids at at Asheville Art Museum is especially important for the children's education.
The students learned to make textured paper by mixing acrylic paint and paste. Organizers said through art children are learning about a number of subjects.
"It helps with all of their other subjects. Because it's all encompassing, it helps with language arts and math," education programs manager Sharon McRorie said.
The project was part of a three-day holiday art camp. Next, the children will use the paper to make covers for their scrap-books.
