The 14th annual Asheville Bread Festival is happening this weekend, May 4th-6th, and you can get a slice of the action. It includes workshops, a bread fair, a pizza dinner, and a master class for professional bakers.

On News 13 This Morning Lauren Brigman was live with pastry chef Kaley Laird with one of the participating bakeries, The Rhu in downtown Asheville. She gives viewers a look at the breads and pastries they will offer at the bread fair. Event organizer Cathy Cleary shares how this event helps area farmers, bakeries and restaurants.

The bread fair is happening Saturday, May 5th from 10am until 2pm at New Belgium Brewery in Asheville. It is free to attend, with more than 20 local bakeries providing items to try and also buy.

On Saturday evening, you can purchase a $25 ticket to attend a pizza dinner at New Belgium Brewery. It brings together farmers, millers, bakers and bread enthusiasts.
