Starting Tuesday, you can lace up your skates and take to an iceless skating rink.

News 13's Lauren Brigman was live on the rink ahead of the opening on Tuesday.

This is the second year for the iceless rink, set up outside of the visitor center in downtown Hendersonville along Main Street.

The synthetic ice rink is made of special polymers so it can be enjoyed in any temperature.

The rink will be open through January 1st from 11am until 7pm, seven days a week with amended hours on holidays.

Holiday hours include Christmas Eve 11am until 3pm, Christmas Day noon until 4pm, New Year's Eve 11am until 5pm and New Year's Day noon until 4pm.

Admission is $8 per person and includes the skates. Kids 10 and younger can skate for $5. Proceeds benefit the Henderson County America in Bloom Committee.

Santa will also be on site from 2pm until 6pm each day. There will be games for the kids and refreshments also on site for sale.
