ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Get the perfect prom dress for the perfect night without spending a dime!
If you’re a student or parent of a student who’s trying to find a special dress for the occasion, you may want to listen up.
Marsha van Rijssen has collected about 250 new and used gowns over the last few months. Her goal is to have students borrow a gown for the special occasion.

On Saturday, she will have the dresses at A.C. Reynolds High School, where any prom attendant in Western North Carolina may stop by and pick out a dress.
"They are gorgeous. There are all shapes, all sizes, all colors. This is just a wonderful opportunity," Rijssen said.
Seamstresses will be on hand to assist with alterations and accessories.
