WLOS - The Asheville Christian Academy started the 2017-18 campaign on fire, winning its first four games. Another team that started the year on a rampage, Carmel Christian, paid a visit to the Lions in an early season match-up of unbeatens. The two traded buckets for the first three quarters, with the Cougars holding a three point advantage entering the fourth. That's where the game changed. Carmel Christian doubled up Asheville Christian in the final frame, 26-13, to reach a final score of 68-52.

The Lions travel to Winston-Salem on Monday to take on Calvary Day School.
