SPARTANBURG, SC -- The Carolina Panthers officially began training camp Wednesday night at Gibbs Stadium at Wofford College.

The Panthers are determined to be much better than last year when they finished just 6-10 and missed the playoffs, one year after making the Super Bowl.

Some new faces on the roster as well as a healthy Cam Newton should help fans be optimistic in 2017.

News 13's Chris Womack gives us his impression of the first day of camp.
