WLOS - Over a span of about 29 hours the Asheville Tourists and Lexington Legends played 28 innings of baseball. The two teams split a doubleheader Friday night, then returned to McCormick Field Saturday for another two game set. In game one, Sean Bouchard smacked an RBI double in a two-run first inning for the home team. Chad Spanberger smoked a two-run two-bagger in the 5th inning and Bret Boswell tallied a solo shot in the 7th as Asheville cruised to a 7-1 victory. Lucas Gilbreath got the win for the Tourists with five innings of one run ball, striking out seven and walking only two.

Asheville started strong again in game two. Spanberger rocked another RBI double to right, then Ramon Marcelino drove him in the next at-bat with home run over the right field wall. After the Legends tied the game in the top of the 4th, Robbie Perkins led off the home half of the inning with a solo dinger. Spanberger followed suit with a lead-off homer in the 6th as the T's secured the series win with a 5-3 victory.

Spanberger finished the day 3-6 with 4 RBI.

The Legends will visit McCormick one more time on Sunday, for the fifth game in three days. First pitch is set for 2:05pm.
