Taylor Thompson

TAYLOR THOMPSON joined the WLOS team as a reporter in September 2022. She traded the South Georgia humidity for Carolina mountains as she got her start in news at WFXL in Albany, Georgia.

She worked as an MMJ in Albany for a little over a year growing as a reporter covering everything from government, crime, weather, and all things agriculture being in Southwest, Ga.

Taylor is a graduate from The University of Alabama where she majored in news media. Roll Tide!

Outside of the newsroom she enjoys exercising, finding a new coffee shop to try, cheering on the Crimson Tide and is always down for Mexican food.

Taylor is a native of Acworth, Ga and has only lived in a different state for college, so she's thrilled to get out of her comfort zone and call Asheville her new home. She looks forward to covering all the stories that matter to the Western North Carolina community.
